Parent and Caregiver Program

Our EPIC community work is impacting lives like Carmen and her granddaughter who participated in our recent Parent and Caregiver Program.

Carmen’s family has been a part of our EPIC community since we launched in 2021. She tragically lost her daughter during the pandemic and had to become the sole caregiver for her granddaughter. Carmen graduated from our first Parent & Caregiver workshop series in partnership with our community partner PILAglobal. During this time, Carmen and other parents & caregivers met biweekly in a safe and nurturing space to learn together through various community-centered activities.

We are grateful for the guidance of Glenda Linares and the instruction by Alejandra, both parent educators trained in nonviolent parenting.
